So, I found myself going out with the girls on Friday night. You know, some tested and true stress release, dancing, drinks and stilettos. I was looking forward to all of the fun things nightlife provides.
Reality check.
We get to the club This is London. It's 10:30 and the line up is around the building for God knows what reason. I think Toronto is the only place on earth I have experienced such long line ups ALL THE TIME, yet we have the coldest weather. What gives? Girls + dresses + open toe shoes + -27 weather = disaster.
Inside the atmosphere was good for about an hour. DJ Steve Aoki was dropping good beats. 12:00 - over capacity. Think: walking sideways, holding hands not to lose the ladies, drinks spilled all over the arms, legs, clothes, shoes. No room to dance - only minor body movements are possible. No space to breathe.
Then I remembered why I avoid these scenes in the first place. Yet, I keep going out hoping for the best! In the words of Gagz, here's hoping next time we can Just Dance.
